Recently, the aggregate production line project for the basalt mine of Turpan State-owned Investment in Xinjiang — for which Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry has undertaken the full-process technological design and complete equipment supply — is steadily advancing with equipment installation and commissioning preparations at the Turpan mining area. Leveraging local high-quality basalt mineral resources, the project focuses on the production of high-standard engineering aggregates. The entire production line is equipped with high-performance complete crushing and screening units as well as an intelligent management and control system. The overall construction is progressing in an orderly manner, and official commissioning and operation are scheduled to kick off in June 2026.

Located in the Gobi mining area of Turpan City, the Turpan State-owned Basalt Mine in Xinjiang features intense sunlight, a large diurnal temperature range and frequent wind and sand. These harsh conditions impose stringent requirements on the wear resistance, operational stability and continuous working capacity of crushing equipment.

Designed with an annual output of 2 million tons of high-quality basalt aggregates, the project mainly produces high-end building materials including highway and railway ballast, concrete crushed stone, earth-rock materials and basalt rock wool raw materials. It serves as a key raw material supply base for high-standard infrastructure and new material industries in the region.

Complete Equipment Configuration for the Entire Production Line

To meet the demands for large-scale and standardized basalt production, the project is equipped with a full range of high-performance main crushing and screening units, featuring a scientifically structured process and well-balanced production capacity.

Primary Crushing: One deep-chamber jaw crusher is deployed. Featuring a dead-space-free crushing cavity, it delivers large feed capacity and high material throughput. It efficiently handles primary crushing of large lumpy basalt ore. With excellent wear resistance and rugged construction, the unit is well suited for long-duration continuous operation at the mining site.

Secondary Crushing: Two spring cone crushers are installed. Optimized with laminated crushing technology specifically for high-hardness rock, they effectively reduce the content of flaky and elongated particles and improve aggregate density, providing core support for the production of ballast and high-standard crushed stone.

Shaping & Sand Making: One vertical shaft impact crusher is equipped. Integrating crushing, shaping and sand making functions, it finely optimizes aggregate particle shapes and meets the production standards for manufactured basalt sand and rock wool raw materials.

Screening: The system adopts a multi-stage screening combination consisting of one circular vibrating screen and three double-shaft vibrating screens. It features high classification accuracy and large processing capacity, enabling precise separation of finished materials of various specifications and simultaneous production of multiple product types.

Intelligent Control System: The entire line is equipped with the intelligent centralized control system developed by Sanming Heavy Industry. It supports one-click start/stop and linked operation of all equipment, real-time operating condition monitoring, automatic fault early warning and intelligent energy consumption management. This greatly improves the automation level of the production line, cuts labor and maintenance costs, and ensures continuous, stable and high-yield operation.
